Hey everyone,

I've been having a strange issue with my Fisker Ocean lately. Sometimes, when I lock it with the key fob, the doors lock, but the car doesn't fully shut down. It's like it's in a weird state of limbo. The only way to fix it is to unlock and relock the car or press the brake pedal.

Any ideas on what might be causing it? Should I be worried about potential battery drain or other issues?

So when you say the car doesn't fully shut down, what do you mean exactly? After a good drive, I’ve noticed that sometimes, even after I lock it, the battery coolant pump keeps running for a bit to cool things down. I just leave it be, and after a while, it shuts off on its own. But one thing that’s consistent is that my doors always lock without issue.

I was told by a fisker technician that its to do with sitting in the drivers seat for a period time and the seat sensors

Have you tried the basic troubleshooting steps available on the Owner's manual?

The car’s locking is kinda hit or miss, sometimes it locks right away with the chime, and other times it takes anywhere from 20 to 60 seconds. Also, the ambient LED and the tiny lights on the gear shifter and roof tend to stay on for a few minutes before shutting off, but there's no set pattern or reason to it.

This happened with my car only once. I have never find out why it acted like that.
