Frustrated with Public L2 Charging

I’m running into constant issues with public Level 2 charging, and it’s driving me a little nuts. Today was the latest round, pulled into a Blink charger at my hospital’s parking lot, sat there for 5 minutes waiting, but no handshake from the car. I’m on the road about half the time, so it would be super convenient to be able to top up at hotels or other public spots, but so far, zero luck with free L2 charging at 6,400 miles in.

Anyone else experiencing the same issue, or is there some trick I’m missing here? Fingers crossed an update will solve this soon, but I’d love any tips from those who’ve dealt with similar issues!

Level 2 chargers have worked well for me, both paid and free. But Blink chargers are awful.

To find chargers, I use the PlugShare app. It's pretty good at indicating where to charge.
