Is it normal for the Fisker Ocean to charge at around 0.8kW on a Level 1 charger? I’ve tried both the Fisker charger and a Hyundai Level 1 charger (which usually charges my Tucson PHEV at around 1.2-1.3kW), but on the Ocean, it maxes out at 0.8kW. The car’s locked, and only the small screen and ambient lighting stay on, no idea why. Also, the fan kicks on and off during charging.

On top of that, I just started getting a “seatbelt malfunction” warning that says service is needed, even when the belt’s not in use. Anyone else experienced this combo of issues? Wondering if it’s something to look deeper into or if these quirks are somewhat normal with the Ocean.

We use a lvl2 charger. I can't help you with the first one.
Regarding the second issue, it could be a misaligned sensor or a software issue causing it to trigger even when the belt’s not in use. I would go to the dealership.

Hey, did you go to the dealership as I suggested a while ago?

Charging at 0.8kW on a Level 1 charger sounds low, but it might just be how the Ocean is calibrated to protect the battery. For comparison, Level 2 chargers usually give you much better speeds, definitely worth considering if you charge often at home. As for the seatbelt warning, it’s likely a sensor issue, sometimes a simple reset can clear it, but if not, a quick trip to the dealer should do the trick.

I had the seatbelt malfunction warning, too. I went to the dealership and fixed it there. It was more like a software glitch.
