The maximum weight limit is 1150 lbs, which seems low. Does this include the weight of a trailer, which can be around 400 lbs? I often haul 1000 lbs of feed, plus my 200 lbs, which would be too much weight. Would using a trailer be better?
 
The trailer weight is probably not included in the 1150 lbs. It might be easier to divide the load if you use a trailer, but make sure to read the owner's manual for tongue weight capacity and towing limits.
 
The 1150 lbs limit likely refers to the total weight the vehicle can carry, including passengers and cargo. If you're hauling 1000 lbs of feed, plus your 200 lbs, it could be too much. A trailer might be a better option, but make sure to check your vehicle’s towing capacity to stay within safe limits.
